Danil Medvedev rose to a career-best second spot in the ATP Tennis Rankings released on Monday. Medvedev is also the first player to make it to the top two in more than 15 years, in addition to Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray in the 'Big Four'.

Apart from these four players, the last time male tennis player who finished in the top two was Australia's Layton Hewitt, who finished second in July 2005, while Federer was on top. Medvedev won the 10th title in a career as the Open 13 tournament in France, beating Nadal to finish second.


Earlier he was in third place. Hewitt was ranked second on the ranking of No. 368, Nadal 203, Federer 203, Djokovic 144, and Week 41. Djokovic holds the number one ranking in the 312nd week in his career.
